Ms. Roshaneh Zafar – Managing Director
Ms. Zafar is the founder and managing director of Kashf Foundation. She worked with the World Bank in Islamabad in the Water and Sanitation department for several years prior to setting up the Foundation. Ms. Zafar was one of the first Ashoka Fellows in Pakistan and has been a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur since 2004. Ms. Zafar has also been awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan s highest civilian awards, by the President of Pakistan for her work in the field of development and women’s empowerment and was also awarded the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship in 2007 and the Vital Voices award for Economic Empowerment in 2010. She is also serving as a member of the Prime Minister’s Taskforce on Austerity and Federal Government restructuring, and sits on the board of several institutions including the Finca Microfinance Bank, the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, the Punjab Social Protection Board and Kaarvaan Crafts. Ms. Zafar is a graduate of the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA and also holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Yale University, USA.
Mr. Mumtaz Iqbal - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Mumtaz Iqbal has done master in business administration with 18 years of diversified experience, ranging from 4 years of sales, marketing and HR management work in an American multinational Align Technology and has been serving Kashf Foundation on different management positions for over 16 years.
Ms. Shahla Sattar – Chief Risk Officer
Ms. Sattar joined Kashf in the very beginning in 1999 as an associate in the Accounts Department. Over the years, she has headed the Accounts department and recently took over the newly established Risk and Compliance department as its Head. Ms. Sattar has been elemental in developing the overall risk management framework for the institution and works closely with the Internal Audit department for a continuous improvement. She holds an MBA in Finance from the National College of Business Administration.
Mr. Faisal Malik – Chief Technology Officer
As a Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Faisal leads strategic efforts around technology and business initiatives. His focus has been around ‘customer centricity though leveraging on technology’. He has been involved in setting strategic direction, implementation of digital financial services and alternative delivery channel initiatives for organizational transformation. He is passionate about financial inclusion and wealth management for the underserved. Previously he has worked in advisory services firms and telecom sector.
Ms. Zainab Saeed- Chief Strategy Officer
Ms. Zainab Saeed has been with Kashf since 2008 and has worked on multiple facets of the organization’s work; she has served in the Core Business team, been the Master Trainer and Lead Content Developer for Kashf, managed the External Engagement and Business Development department, led the Grant Raising and Media team, and worked on Kashf’s Edu-tainment and Social Advocacy work. Ms. Saeed has a post-graduate degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economic and Political Sciences and an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. Ms. Saeed has also served as Adjunct Faculty at the Lahore University of Management and Visiting Faculty Member at the Lahore School of Economics.
Mr. Shahzad Iqbal – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Iqbal has been with Kashf Foundation since 2008. He deals with external financial stakeholders, arranges and forecasts funds required and is involved in all key decision making processes of the company. Mr. Iqbal joined Kashf after working 7 years in the corporate sector. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and has worked with KPMG and Worldcall (a leading telecom and broadband company) prior to joining Kashf Foundation.
Mr. Sikander Azam - Head of Operations
Mr. Sikander Azam brings 21 years of experience in Commercial/Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, and Telecommunications. Prior to Kashf, Sikander worked with Ernst & Young, Citibank, ANZ bank, Bank Alfalah, Telstra, and Optus telecom, between Australia, Bahrain, and Pakistan, where he held various roles in Relationship Management, Business Development, and Business operations.
He started as a Regional Manager in South Punjab and after five successful years, he was promoted to a Senior Regional Manager and given the challenging task of growth in the KPK/Rawalpindi Region. In December 2020, Sikander was promoted as Head of Operations and moved to Lahore Head office, where he is managing the overall business growth and operation of the Kashf Network. He has also been involved in the launch of various products and business digitalization initiatives during this period.
Mr. Azam has a post-graduate degree in International Business from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and an MBA from Bahria University, Islamabad. He has also attended and completed various business and leadership postgraduate modules from Boulder, LUMS, and other reputable organizations.
Ms. Rabia Masood - Head of Internal Audit
Ms. Rabia Masood has more than 13 years of professional experience and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She completed her articles from KPMG and has worked in the Electronics, Telecommunications, Section 42 Companies, and Pharmaceutical sectors. Her core expertise lies in financial and operational audits, enterprise risk management, fraud risk management, fraud investigations, process and control reviews, business process re-engineering, strategy reviews, corporate governance, and financial reporting.
Ms. Saira Soofi - Chief Legal Officer
Ms. Saira Soofi is currently the Head of Legal and Company Secretary at Kashf Foundation. In her capacity, she oversees and leads both the corporate, and litigation teams at Kashf Foundation. In addition, previous positions held by Ms. Soofi include Senior Associate at Chima and Ibrahim Advocates, Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited , and Senior Legal Counsel positions at Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited etc. She earned an LLM degree from the University of London (Queen Mary & UCL Program) in the year 2006.
Mr. Yasir Arjumand - Head of Finance
Mr. Arjumand holds Masters degree in Business Administration in Finance. Prior to Kashf, he has vast financial sector experience. He joined Kashf Foundation as a Financial Analyst in 2007 and got his first promotion in 2010 as Assistant Manager Finance. He was rewarded another promotion as Manager Finance on the basis of his excellent performance. He is now leading the department as Head of Finance.
Ms. Bushra Khanum - Head of Gender Empowerment and Social Advocacy
Ms. Bushra Khanum is the Head of Kashf’s Gender Empowerment Social Advocacy department. She has worked in Kashf for more than 10 years overlooking various non-financial projects of the organization.
She has regularly provided strategic input in designing training modules, developing and designing implementation strategies, and regularly monitoring projects. During her tenure at Kashf foundation, she has worked with various international and national donors including PSDF, UNDP, CIDA, SEF, and Netherland Government.
Before joining Kashf Foundation she also worked in renowned organizations in the development sector including United Nations Development Program as a Gender and Social Sector Specialist and National Commissions for Human Development as Manager Volunteerism for Community Development.
Mr. Imran Babar - Head of Accounts
Mr. Imran Babar has done Masters in Business Administration in Finance. He has almost 15 years of Kashf experience in the field of accounts. He joined as Accounts Associate in 2003 and got promoted as Assistant Manager Accounts in 2010. Later on he was promoted as Manager Accounts as a result of his outclass performance. Currently, he is working as the Head of Accounts.
Mr. Mueen Afzal - Head of Human Resources
Mr. Mueen Afzal is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has overall 15 years of professional experience with renowned organizations including Riaz Ahmad (an audit firm), Crescent Investment Bank and Kashf Foundation. His diverse and enriched background of financial sector organizations makes him result oriented and creative. He has introduced and implemented best practices of compensation and benefits at the Foundation including achieving a 50% gender ratio across all tiers. Currently he is leading the HR department as Head of HR.
Major(R) Shahid - Head of Administration & Security
Major(R) Shahid is the head of Administration & Security and is responsible for ensuring all departments have the required resources for smooth business continuity. Maj Shahid has done Master in Business Administration and also holds a Masters degree in HR from Punjab University.
