Kashf Foundation Seeks Independent Assessment to Measure Impact of Its Programs

Lahore, Pakistan | Kashf Foundation, Pakistan’s pioneering microfinance institution dedicated to women’s economic empowerment, is inviting proposals for an independent impact assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of its credit and credit plus programs.

The study will assess the impact of Kashf’s microfinance offering including but not limited to credit for business, school finance and credit for livestock, as well as credit plus programs including micro insurance, capacity building and advocacy initiatives. The findings will guide future program enhancements and strategic decision-making.

Key focus areas of the assessment include:

  • Evaluation of the impact of credit and credit plus offering on income enhancement, savings and entrepreneurial activity
    Assessment of the impact of capacity building initiatives on financial literacy, income/business management and health management.
  • Analyzing the impact of the program on the quality of life of the program participants
  • Impact of the program on independent decision making relating to financial and non-financial aspects of the client’s life
  • Change in perceptions and attitudes relating to gender and empowerment
