Kashf Foundation Celebrates 30 Years of Women’s Empowerment with Release of ‘Uth Meri Jaan’
Founder Roshaneh Zafar lends her voice to mark three decades of transforming women’s lives across Pakistan
Lahore, Pakistan – April 23, 2025 – Kashf Foundation, Pakistan’s pioneering microfinance institution focused on women’s economic empowerment, has released a powerful musical tribute titled ‘Uth Meri Jaan’ to commemorate its 30th anniversary. The song features the organisation’s visionary Founder & Managing Director, Roshaneh Zafar, whose remarkable journey has helped millions of Pakistani women achieve financial dignity and independence since 1995.
The musical piece, which premiered on Kashf Foundation’s Official YouTube Channel, is a moving celebration of resilience, determination and hope – values that have been at the core of the organization’s mission for three decades. Set to music composed by Sami Khan, who also wrote the lyrics, the song incorporates poetry by renowned poet Kaifi Azmi with powerful recitation by Afshan Sajjad.
