Kashf’s Social advocacy interventions aim to create awareness about gender discrimination and social issues at the community level.
a. Gender Trainings - These trainings are imparted to women clients along with adult males and adolescent boys from the community to raise awareness regarding gender norms, women’s rights and gender equality.
b. Social Theatre Performances - These target clients and their families and seek to create awareness about relevant social issues interactive social theatre performances.
c. Public Service Messages - These target the society at large through the use of mass media to leverage on ‘edu-tainment’ – i.e. educating people through entertainment. This has included in the past, television series and public service messages on issues faced by low-income households in Pakistan, including girls education, early age marriage, preference for boy children, and the importance of women’s economic agency.
